impressionable enough

“Impressionable Enough”, depicts media images that have had an impression on my child and teenhood. These long term memories include salacious news stories, magazine covers, provocative scenes in reality television and film, and controversial toys and commercials. I use clay reliefs to ape the lasting, monumental-like impact these images have had on my personal history; as a maker and as a woman.  The dimensionality of clay lends to the vividness of these sensorial traces.
